seriously romantic: landing the air marshal by jennifer blackwood

i was looking for a quick, easy, happy read and landing the air marshal fit the bill perfectly. abby is a control freak set designer who is terrified of flying. gage is an off-duty air marshal. when they are seated together on a cross-country trip the sparks literally fly between them. they can't keep their minds off each other, or their hands.

when they realize that they're coincidentally staying at the same hotel they decide to share a room. and when a blizzard hits new york a one night stand turns into a weekend together. being trapped in one place for an extended period of time allows the leads to spend time getting to really know each other. and both of them want to see what might happen if they were to extend their relationship beyond a weekend. but gage is afraid that the long-distance, the flying, her career needs, his career needs, the fact that their families are nowhere near each other make anything serious a non-starter.

they don't figure out everything at the end. partly because i think figuring it all out would make this a very different novel. but the leads get their happy for now ending, and i got a delightful read. so it's all good.

simply catching up on all things general hospital
