definitely, possibly, maybe

you guys, my shipper heart can't take the heartbreak. i mean, i get why hayley and elijah probably shouldn't be together. (let's not even try to calculate the age difference) and i actually enjoy the originals  for more than hayley and elijah. and this season, this show has been so good. the little girl they have playing hope mikaelson is fantastic. but beyond that, this season all these monsters, not just the mikaelsons, but the witches and marcel and his crew,  have come together and faced their demons and really searched for redemption. facing the hollow, the biggest bad of them all, there's no quarter. things go from bad, to worse, to the worst in the blink of an eye, or snap of a finger. and there's nothing else to be done. for a family that has vowed always and forever, a family that have lived and fought and loved for 1000 years, to end up where they do it's devastating. i mean, sure some of them get happy ever afters, i'm glad for rebekah a...

so i totally binge-read refuge  after i finished up relentless .  i don't love a ton of supernatural romance stuff, but this hits the city of bones/ vampire diaries/the originals sweet spot for me. just the right amount of supernatural stuff mixed in with the angsty teen drama. i enjoyed the second half of refuge  way more than the first half, mostly because there wasn't enough nikolas in the first half. it still boggles the mind how easily sara can misinterpret how he feels about her and what he thinks of her, but it does set up the killer cliffhanger at the end of the book. rogue  better not delay introducing nikolas, because his and sara's relationship elevates the books in my opinion. it's not creepy twilight -esque bella and edward stuff. sara is an actual badass. in refuge  she makes some new friends and we actually get to know more about her special abilities. the things she discovers she can do are pretty cool. but we also learn more about the bond ...

so i can't explain what motivated me to start posting again. but i can tell you what derailed me before. i had three kids, that's what happened. now that the youngest is entering toddlerhood life is somewhat calmer. or maybe i've just gotten better about taking time for myself. who knows? i still watch loads of television, but we cut the cord on cable and have been functioning with a netflix , hulu , amazon prime combo that works for us. since we were never a family of channel surfers, it's actually worked out pretty well. and other than having to watch out for hulu expiration dates on some shows, for the most part i keep up okay. though i do have to admit that i've fallen inexcusably behind on greys . this was totally my show, but last season they introduced the other sister and then they killed mcdreamy and i was like, do i really want to watch this? the thing is, when i do make time to watch i enjoy it. so i haven't given up on the idea of catching up qu...
