simply all about strength by amy daws

i read vi harris's story back when it was first released as that one moment. it was actually my first amy daws book. and like a gateway drug sucked me into a whole new world for binge-reading. officially, this was a london lovers book, but because i read it first and then read challenge and endurance next, and it's always felt like a harris book to me. so when amy daws decided to re-release it with a new cover and some additional content to fit in with the harris brother books more fully, i was not sad.

vi and hayden's story is really beautiful. it's deep and emotional and meaningful. falling in love is such a risk for both of them. he's broken in so many ways, and vi's got her own set of scars from childhood that she doesn't even realize require healing. you need this book to fully grasp the harris brothers, so if you've somehow read that series without realizing vi had her own story, then you really should grab this one now.

after the jump you'll find all sorts of info, including the gorgeous new cover.

He thought getting a second chance at life was difficult, but resisting the spark he feels with her will test all of his strength.

Vi Harris comes with baggage most men can’t handle. A famous ex-footballer for a father and four professional footballing brothers. Brothers she helped raise after their mother died.

Dating isn’t easy when the infamous Harris Brothers not only play defence on the pitch but block most love interests from getting too close to their sister.

Hayden Clarke isn’t the guy you take home to meet your parents. He’s brooding, troubled, and just survived the darkest days of his life. Which is why a distraction like Vi could cost him everything.

When Vi’s bright, cheeky smile and oversized dog crash into him without warning, he can’t help but get wrapped up in her. Despite his better judgment, he enlists Vi to help him with a special assignment that’s anything but romantic.

Through it all, she doesn’t see his flaws. She doesn’t see him as broken. She sees him as the man he’s been fighting his whole life to be.

But what happens when her strength becomes his weakness?

*This is the re-titled, re-covered, re-edited, and all new bonus content version of the original book, That One Moment.*

Amy Daws is an Amazon Top 25 bestselling author of sexy, contemporary romance novels. She enjoys writing love stories that take place in America, as well as across the pond in England; especially about those footy-playing Harris Brothers of hers. When Amy is not writing in a tire shop waiting room, she’s watching Gilmore Girls, or singing karaoke in the living room with her daughter while Daddy smiles awkwardly from a distance.

simply catching up on all things general hospital

hmmm, it's been months since i've blogged about gh . partly this is due to the fact that i fell behind while i was traveling. partly because all the outrage lapsed into disinterest when i realized i couldn't bring myself to care anymore and everything that was happening was just so trite and boring. some days i still feel that way. and there are still whole storylines that i either hate or just fast forward through. but there are some good things too. in no particular order, here are my thoughts on the goings-on in port charles: 1. soras [and why re-casting roles works on soaps even if you do miss the original actors]: the new, older versions of sonny's kids are turning out to be quite enjoyable. [although hilariously, cameron whom i believe is older than molly is now younger. and because cameron is so cute, i'm kind of hoping they won't fix that. we also haven't seen spencer in ages, so he may be approaching 50.] in any case, at this point we've only s

genre debate: urban fantasy versus epic fantasy: team epic gets their say

Team Epic: Why I Love Epic Fantasy! Since it's my blog, I'll go first: Epic fantasies take you on quests that take you beyond the limits of what is real. The rules can be different, they are different, and everything just matters more. It's not just one life at stake, it's lives, it's a whole world, a whole way of being. Epic fantasies force you to use your imagination and take you on an adventure to places you never thought possible, but as different as everything feels, there are still things that are always real, no matter how you write it. Keep reading to see what a handful of Entangled TEEN authors think about epic fantasies: Erica Cameron - Island of Exiles (The Ryogan Chronicles, #1): Why do I love epic fantasy? It's a blank slate. We can erase all of our preconceived notions of society and law and even science, throwing all of that over the side of a cliff. Epic fantasy lets us push humanity well past the breaking point with ever
