the library jumpers series comes to a close with assassin of truths, and battle to defeat connemar continues with new and old allies alike. gia must still navigate her teenage drama with the whole saving the world thing, but this book brings everything together to a high-stakes confrontation and a satisfying conclusion.
everything that gia has been learning on her journey comes into play at just the right time, but not in tired predictable ways. there is suspense and drama and sadness and grief and love and happiness. all the right emotional notes are played for maximum enjoyment.
this is one of those series that is a perfect binge-read. the world-building is complex, and there are so many characters to keep straight that reading them in close succession means less time to forget all the details. if you've already read the first two books in the series, then you will be happy with where things go in the third and how the love triangles/rhombuses resolve themselves.
**assassin of truths will publish on february 6, 2018. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/entangled publishing (entangled teen) in exchange for my honest review.
