something from the archives: stranded - part 6

and this one comes to a close here...

Part 6

A few days later, Liz couldn't help but be amazed by the utter contentment and peace that surrounded her. Finding Michael the way she had, simply turned out to be the best possible thing that could have happened to her.

She'd already found a teaching position at the local high school. They had been searching for a chemistry and physics teacher for eleventh and twelfth grades, and she was beyond qualified, it was exactly what she wanted to be teaching. The school back in Atlanta hadn't been exactly thrilled to receive her notice, but their hands were tied. She'd also talked to her friend Amanda and asked her to ship the rest of her belongings to Michael's place.

She walked into the kitchen, the sun would soon be setting and Michael would come in from the shop with an appetite that only food could satiate. Liz couldn't help but blush, food wasn't exactly the only thing that would satiate Michael's appetites, she had a trick or to up her sleeve that would bring him complete satisfaction.

She jumped, startled by the large tanned hands that wrapped themselves around her middle. Michael's lips nuzzled her neck, and his voice whispered in her ear.

"Mmm," Liz turned in his embrace and pressed her lips to his, opening them in an invitation his tongue couldn't refuse. They tasted each other thoroughly, their kiss spiraling out of control.

Michael lifted Liz onto the counter, she wrapped her legs around his waist, bringing the heat of his jutting arousal against her own warmth. She rubbed against him and he bucked wildly, his hands roaming over her body, clasping her breasts and kneading them.

He needed to feel her skin, he pulled off the tiny tank top she wore braless around the house and immediately leaned down to suckle her already hardened nipples. Liz yelped and fumbled with his belt, she pulled it free and pushed his pants and boxers down over his erection. Grabbing his straining cock with her eager hands, Liz squeezed him gently and rubbed up and down, up and down until Michael was gasping.

He responded by unzipping her shorts and lifting her up against his body so that he could pull them down her athletic legs. She never stopped her hands movements, and he thrust his fingers into her heated folds to check how wet she was before thrusting his cock into her body. She screamed out and bucked against him, and together they moved. It was a frantic, merciless rhythm. They climaxed as suddenly as they had begun their union, and afterwards shivered in a boneless embrace.

"You missed me?" Liz asked teasingly when she could finally speak.

"Baby, I've been dreaming about doing that all day," was Michael's reply. "What's for dinner?"

"Oh, I think dinner can wait."

"Do you?" Michael asked as Liz's lips brushed his.

The next morning saw Liz and Michael on the road to Roswell. Liz had called ahead and told her parents she would be arriving with someone special, and had arranged for her and Michael to stay with them over the Crashdown.

The hour-long drive went by mostly in silence. Liz was nervous as to how everyone would react to her news. Not only was she moving in with Michael, they were getting married as soon as possible.

"Hey, where should I park?" asked Michael.

"Oh, go round the back, the employee lot usually has an extra space or two, especially if Agnes decided not to show," Liz smiled at Michael's uncharacteristic nervousness. She was nervous too. She wanted their first show of togetherness to be perfect. She wanted everyone to know that they had found love.

"I remember Agnes, she was the world's worst waitress, why did your father never fire her?" Michael asked. He was desperate to postpone this whole thing. He hated the whole meet the parents bit, if only because he was so scared of failing to impress them. He wanted everything to be perfect. He wanted the world to know that they were together.

"Well, my dad's such a softie. She always had some good sob story or another, and after time, well, she became Crashdown tradition," Liz explained.

They sat in the car for a few moments in silence. Each gathering their thoughts and their courage. But it got hot and stuffy and sweltering in the confined space, and there were people waiting for them.

"So you ready?" Michael asked.

"As long as you're with me, I'm ready for anything."

*****

Michael walked into the Crashdown behind Liz. It wasn't as if he hadn't been to Roswell recently. In fact he'd had dinner with Kyle there after the baseball game two Sundays ago.

But as he walked behind Liz, he was as nervous as he'd ever been in his life. Not even waiting at the altar for Isabel had been this nerve-wracking. He was making the most important statement of his life here. He was going to be deliriously happy. And the very thought of that was terrifying.

"Michael? You're Liz's special someone?" shrieked Maria in her characteristic excitability from the table where she was sitting.

"Wow, man, congrats. You've been in love with her for years," Kyle said laconically as he draped his arm around Maria's shoulders.

"Really?" Liz asked laughingly.

"Yeah," Michael shrugged before glaring at Kyle and saying, "Bastard, you were always the team gossip."

"What? What did I say?" Kyle responded cluelessly.

"Nothing," Maria said as she smacked arm laughingly.

Liz hugged Maria quickly, whispering in her ear that they had a date for a serious talk later. And pulled Michael towards her father's office in the back.

Michael sighed. It was time to meet the parents. It was time for the rest of their lives.

Liz smiled as she watched Michael speak to her parents. Who'd of thought that being stranded would result in the best thing that ever happened.

They would be happy. They loved. They had passion. They had laughter. They had it all. It really was that simple.

simply catching up on all things general hospital

hmmm, it's been months since i've blogged about gh . partly this is due to the fact that i fell behind while i was traveling. partly because all the outrage lapsed into disinterest when i realized i couldn't bring myself to care anymore and everything that was happening was just so trite and boring. some days i still feel that way. and there are still whole storylines that i either hate or just fast forward through. but there are some good things too. in no particular order, here are my thoughts on the goings-on in port charles: 1. soras [and why re-casting roles works on soaps even if you do miss the original actors]: the new, older versions of sonny's kids are turning out to be quite enjoyable. [although hilariously, cameron whom i believe is older than molly is now younger. and because cameron is so cute, i'm kind of hoping they won't fix that. we also haven't seen spencer in ages, so he may be approaching 50.] in any case, at this point we've only s...
