seriously romantic: move the stars by jessica hawkins

the impossible becomes possible in move the stars. time has passed and nothing has unfolded the way it should have. manning's heart still beats only for lake. and lake's for manning. there is distance and pain and heartache. and stolen moments of time.

when they have a chance to come together can they actually hold on to the love and the spark that ignites between them? what happens when the possible becomes impossible again? once again, jessica hawkins takes us on a journey filled with the highest of highs and lowest of lows.

if you've already read the first two books in the series, there is no way you aren't reading move the stars, because all roads lead to here. in some ways everything that came before builds up to this story. and there are secrets revealed here, things we didn't realize were happening that color everything that came before in a different light.

the truth is, lake and manning, shouldn't be meant to be. there is no reason for their love to survive the way it does. and yet, in spite of how wrong it is, you can't help rooting for them. even when everything is at its most hopeless you want them to untangle the webs that have trapped them in opposite corners of the country and find a way back to happiness. this is an angsty read for sure, but i love angst. the forbidden aspects of lake and manning's love affair don't bother me in fiction. and i feel no guilt for wanting them to get the joy that has been withheld from them for so long.

**move the stars will publish on october 23, 2017. i purchased my very own copy and binge read it, but i do also have some extra information to share on the book from the author...

Move the Stars, the highly anticipated conclusion to the Something in the Way series by Jessica Hawkins is available now!

LAKE

It was a hot summer day when I met him on the construction site next to my parents' house. If I’d known then what I do now, would I have kept on walking? Manning was older, darker, experienced—and I’d trusted him when he said the story would only ever be about us. I’d held those words close and challenged fate, but I had lost.

A part of me is still that sixteen-year-old girl squinting up at Manning, but no matter how far I fall or high I soar, I’ll always be a bird without her bear and nothing without him.

MANNING

When I close my eyes, I can no longer see her. The decisions I made were to push Lake in the right direction—away from me. But now that she’s gone, would I have made those same choices?

I’d walked away like I was supposed to. I’d kept my distance. I’d bent over backward to keep Lake pure, but she’s no longer that girl, and I don’t know if I can stay away anymore. I only know I don’t want to. She’s still everything I want and nothing I should ever have, but if anyone can move the stars, it’s her great bear in the sky.

simply catching up on all things general hospital

hmmm, it's been months since i've blogged about gh . partly this is due to the fact that i fell behind while i was traveling. partly because all the outrage lapsed into disinterest when i realized i couldn't bring myself to care anymore and everything that was happening was just so trite and boring. some days i still feel that way. and there are still whole storylines that i either hate or just fast forward through. but there are some good things too. in no particular order, here are my thoughts on the goings-on in port charles: 1. soras [and why re-casting roles works on soaps even if you do miss the original actors]: the new, older versions of sonny's kids are turning out to be quite enjoyable. [although hilariously, cameron whom i believe is older than molly is now younger. and because cameron is so cute, i'm kind of hoping they won't fix that. we also haven't seen spencer in ages, so he may be approaching 50.] in any case, at this point we've only s

genre debate: urban fantasy versus epic fantasy: team epic gets their say

Team Epic: Why I Love Epic Fantasy! Since it's my blog, I'll go first: Epic fantasies take you on quests that take you beyond the limits of what is real. The rules can be different, they are different, and everything just matters more. It's not just one life at stake, it's lives, it's a whole world, a whole way of being. Epic fantasies force you to use your imagination and take you on an adventure to places you never thought possible, but as different as everything feels, there are still things that are always real, no matter how you write it. Keep reading to see what a handful of Entangled TEEN authors think about epic fantasies: Erica Cameron - Island of Exiles (The Ryogan Chronicles, #1): Why do I love epic fantasy? It's a blank slate. We can erase all of our preconceived notions of society and law and even science, throwing all of that over the side of a cliff. Epic fantasy lets us push humanity well past the breaking point with ever
